  We called Long to install windows in our primary home in Feb 2016. We had many issues with the installation - wrong size window, improper caulking, using the wrong type of caulking or not caulking at all. When we brought everything to Long's attention, he always had an excuse for why the work wasn't done completely but he reluctantly correct the mistakes.
  
  A year later, Jan 2017, we experienced a major rain storm which caused leaks in our windows on the 2nd story of our primary home. I contacted Long and they sent out a tech to assess the issue but provided no explanation as to why the windows were leaking. He just wanted to know which window had the issue and went to caulk the perimeter of the windows. The tech caulking the entire east side of our home.
  
  That night, I received notification from my rental property tenant (where Long installed windows in Aug/Sept 2015) that there was a major water leak from the massive rain into the home. The rain had leaked through the sliding glass doors into the home. Long discovered that 'there is no caulking on top of the doors'. He said, 'they probably couldn't get their fingers inside between the protruding stucco design and the door.' Long agreed to ensure a proper seal on the sliding glass door and he agreed to replace the damaged wood floor. We found more windows without proper seal.
  
  A second rain storm arrived three days later and we had more water damage again via the sliding door. He was puzzled so he suggested I contact the manufacturer of the windows, Milgard to get their opinion. Milgard tech said that there was no manufacturer's defect. Long even went further to recommend to hire a leak detection pro to ensure that there was no water coming in from anywhere else in the home. They found no conclusive evidence and indicated in could be from the sliding door. Long agreed to remove the sliding glass door to re-install it properly and that he would also replace the laminate wood flooring that got wet. The tenant was a witness to his statement.
  
  We were in communication for 2 weeks to schedule the follow up work. On March 10, I got an email from his office that 'we are no longer able to assist you.'
  
  We've attempted multiple times to get in touch with Long and ECCI to resolve this matter via phone and email. We also left a message with Ivan at the shop on March 21 letting them know that we are obtaining professional opinions and that if we don't hear back from them, we will take legal action as well as reporting them to the various professional licensing boards.
  
  Since then, we have spoken to and received in-person consults from multiple window installation professionals and contractors. All pointed to the fact that the sliding glass door must have not been installed correctly. That we may not have proper caulking/sealing, not have a seal pan used to guide the water away from the home.
  
  Today, April 10, we had a licensed window install company come out to remove the door and what did we find? Improper installation of the track! Both the contractors and the licensed window installers said the seal pan was necessary. First, they did not remove the old seal from the original sliding glass door tract which left the concrete uneven. They also did not spend the extra 10 minutes to level off the concrete from exterior edge to the interior edge. What did they do? They laid multiple shims under the tract to level the flooring but that left gaps EVERYWHERE. 2nd, they did not lay an even amount of caulking to block water from coming in. When the tract was removed there were multiple areas where there were only thin lines of caulk that easily allowed water to pass through to the interior of the home. These are facts that we are dealing with. Our findings prove that the incorrect installation was the causation for our water intrusions.
  
  My husband stopped by ECCI and spoke with Crystal for another professional courtesy request. Today was their fourth advisement of what we plan to do. This is not an experience we wish on anybody.
